When you realize you’re living inside an answered prayer

This week, I’ve been sitting with gratitude.
Not the loud, celebratory kind.
The quieter kind that shows up when you realize you’re already standing in something you once asked for.
There was a time I prayed for clarity in my career.
For direction.
For growth that felt aligned rather than forced.
And lately, I’ve noticed something shift.
I’m working. I’m stretching. I’m being challenged.
I’m being mentored by someone who pushes me, sees me, and expects more of me.
And instead of resisting the discomfort, I can feel myself growing into it.
This is forward motion.

In The Tools, there’s a reminder that progress doesn’t always feel good in the moment. Sometimes it feels demanding. Sometimes it feels like pressure. But forward motion is often the answer arriving quietly, disguised as effort.
So today, I’m pausing to say thank you.
Thank you to God for alignment I couldn’t have engineered.
Thank you for mentors who don’t coddle potential but call it higher.
Thank you for work that stretches me and reminds me who I am becoming.
If you’re reading this and life feels full, busy, demanding
I want to offer this gentle reminder:
Before you rush to the next thing
Before you move the goalpost again
Sit still for a moment
You might be living inside a prayer your past self whispered.
Gratitude doesn’t stop momentum.
It grounds it.
With intention,
